Right Care Family Medicine was built to be the kind of practice families return to year after year — for the wellness visits, the worried calls, the hard conversations, and the quiet ones.
We believe good primary care should feel like good parenting. Our practice combines warmth and compassion with clarity and insight, making sure the care you receive is right for you.
• Listen first, decide together. We take the time to understand your story before we plan — because a treatment plan that doesn’t fit your life isn’t really a plan.
• Educate, then empower. We explain what we know, what we don’t know, and what your options really are. Our goal is not patients who follow orders, but patients who understand their health well enough to be partners in it.
• Build relationships that last. Family medicine is at its best when your doctor knows your whole story. We make space for the long view, for both you and the people you love.
Dr. Jessica Wright is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine, with more than ten years of clinical experience caring for patients of all ages. She enjoys working with patients across every stage of life — and has a particular passion for adolescent health, an age group that often deserves more time and attention than it gets.
Dr. Wright specializes in the management of chronic conditions — diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, and the long list of conditions that ask for steady, attentive care over time. Her approach is collaborative and educational: she believes in helping her patients take charge of their own health by understanding what’s happening in their bodies, what their options are, and how each decision will play out in everyday life.
She believes in always putting her patients first — taking the time to listen, understanding what each person needs, and developing the kind of long-term relationships that make family medicine possible in the first place.
A native of Sierra Leone, Dr. Wright grew up in Connecticut and lived and practiced in Northern Virginia before bringing her family to Raleigh. Her global background shapes the care she offers, particularly for patients planning international travel, returning home from abroad, or navigating health concerns that don’t always fit a single textbook.
“My goal is to help my patients be in control of their own health — to develop a healthy lifestyle, to understand their conditions, and most importantly, to build the kind of doctor-patient relationship where they actually feel heard.”

Right Care Family Medicine welcomes patients ages 10 and up. That covers most of the people in most families, and it lets us focus on what we do best: thoughtful, unhurried care for adolescents, adults, and seniors who deserve a doctor with plenty of time for them.
Annual physicals, sports clearance, mental health support, and the early conversations about confidence, identity, and independence. Dr. Wright has a particular passion for teens — and for the parents trying to support them.
Primary care that fits a busy life: preventive visits, women’s health, chronic condition management, and the occasional ‘I’m not feeling right and I just need someone to look at this.’ We see the people raising the kids.
Comprehensive care for the conditions that come with time — blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, joint pain, sleep, memory. We slow down, take stock, and make sure your medications and your goals still match.
When the kids are 10 and up, parents often want one doctor who knows everyone. We’re built for that, coordinating care across a household so everyone benefits from the same continuity, the same chart, the same trust.
Modern primary care often feels like a stopwatch. We’ve built our practice differently, with appointment lengths that allow genuine conversation, thorough history-taking, and shared decision-making. The first visit alone is unhurried by design.
Diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and thyroid disease are conditions our providers know well, refined through years of focused, everyday practice. If you’re tired of feeling like another set of numbers, you’re in the right place.
Teenagers don’t always get the attention they deserve at a family practice. Dr. Wright meets adolescents with privacy, respect, and the kind of direct conversation that earns trust.
Dr. Wright’s training in global health and her own international background make Right Care a natural fit for patients planning international travel, returning home with new symptoms, or simply wanting a doctor who understands health across borders.
We take most major insurance plans and offer cash-pay for patients who’d rather skip the paperwork. Either way, we walk you through the cost of your visit up front, so you know what to expect before you’re billed.
